Reviews for Trattoria Rigoletto
Review highlights
Based on 1,291 reviewsTrattoria Rigoletto is consistently praised for its authentic Italian cuisine, featuring richly flavored dishes like risottos, pastas, and traditional meats. Guests appreciate the cozy, intimate setting paired with picturesque views, highlighting its charm despite the restaurant's modest size. The atmosphere is described as warm and unpretentious, attracting both locals and visitors seeking genuine, comforting meals at fair prices. Service is frequently noted as attentive and friendly, even when the restaurant reaches full capacity. Some feedback mentions occasional external noise from nearby traffic, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive dining experience. Reservations are recommended due to the venue’s popularity, especially during peak hours.
1 appetizers, 2 first dishes of very good quality. All the dishes arrived quickly. The weiter was nice and really kind. The place is a little small but very traditional. Also have a big view. If we have to find a flaw, the noise of the cars during rush hour.5 stars garanteed!!
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner here. Small, cozy, delicious food. Highly recommend the Saffron risotto.
A small humble shop in San Gimignano, and the experience was absolutely immaculate and gastronomical. We had the pasta with wild boar, pasta with truffles, tagliata with anchovy sauce, lasagna and tiramisu.Every dish blew our minds and taste buds, the flavor in each dish is inexplicable. Not to mention that the view was picturesque as well.Highly recommend a meal here, you will definitely regret it if you do not try.
A hidden gem in San Gimignano. Unlike the pretensious restaurants inside the city walls, Trattoria Rigoletto offers down to earth, comforting and delicious food, fairly priced along some good wines as well. The place is packed with locals every night and a reservation is best to avoid long waiting times as a walk-in. I had the pici il rigoletto to start and the tagliata di manzo covered with lard - it was outrageously good. My wife had the tagliata di pollo con aceto balsamico and it was one of the best chicken dishes she had in our 4 week trip. Our female server was impatient and a bit rude, maybe because we didn’t speak perfect Italian but the food overshadowed the service. I would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone!
A little place I walked past a few times and thought it looked nice. I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. The food was very good and the wine selection was reasonably priced. We got in early, but the place filled to capacity shortly after opening, but service was still prompt.
Great little restaurant right outside g he city walls. Delicious homemade food and good service. We had the the bruscetta plate with three different toasts , one had griied radchccio with gongonzola, one was fresh tomato and prosciutto and one with griilwd zucchini and cheese. We also had Tuscan beans with sausage and hand rolled pici pasta with tomato sauce. The desert of Polenta apple cake was a wow. Local wine was great, very reasonable prices too
Very cozy and beautiful place to have lunch. The pasta was amazing, definitely the best i’ve had. The staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. Don’t skip the espresso after your meal!
The restaurant is located outside the city walls. Small but very stylish restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation before going. Very delicious food and polite service.
